Branding Tool Kit for the Small Business Owner
For any small business to stand out from the competition, it’s essential to develop a strong, identifiable brand. In this workshop we’ll discuss what branding is, why it mattes and the importance of both visual and verbal branding. We’ll give you the tools to sketch out key branding components that define your company’s brand personality, insights and position, tagline and key marketing messages. You’ll walk away with a strong framework for developing your company’s own verbal brand.

We provide small business services in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties.
Training
The MI-SBTDC provides no and low cost training and networking events to new and existing small business owners. Please view the MI-SBTDC Capitol Region Training Calendar for class locations, dates and times.
Consulting
No cost counseling is available in the areas of general, technology, incubator, manufacturing, retail, growth and specialty for small business owners.
Research
MI-SBTDC clients have access to research resources through Grand Valley State University's research department. A service provided through the MI-SBTDC Capitol Region office.
Our trained Business Counselors assisted 773 clients in 2011 with their small business endeavors and are ready to help you. Our 118 cutting edge seminars were attended by over 1,200 entrepreneurs and our business counselors assisted small business entrepreneurs to create 176 new jobs. The Capitol Region team helped 38 new businesses start up and helped secure over 16 million in commercial loans and other capital.
