The Michigan SBTDC statewide team of experts has expanded.  Nine finance and strategy specialists are working with the Manufacturing Assistance Team (MAT) and the Growth Group (G2) Team to assist growth companies to improve their financial management and access to capital, many of them manufacturers.  The specialists have extensive experience in accounting and banking and and are focused on working with companies to further their success through sound financial management.  With the ever-changing lending environment, these specialists also engage with clients to find the right lending solution for their company.   

The finance and strategy specialists will help companies ensure their financial records are accurate and ready for the following:

• Preparing loan packages for submission to banks
• Comparing their financials to industry benchmarks to identify areas of improvement
• Using  their financials as a tool to manage their business
• Developing “what-if” scenarios for financial impact on the business for new initiatives

The finance and strategy specialists will be regionally based throughout the state, covering all of Michigan’s 83 counties working with regional SBTDC consultants to enhance the services already available to SBTDC clientele in the region.
